The Public Opinion Mail series (also known as constituent correspondence, legislative issue correspondence, or issue mail) contains letters and postcards to Baker from Tennesseans and people across the country (and a few from outside the country) expressing their views on various issues. Some have a copy of Baker's reply attached. The date used is the date of Baker's reply, the date of the received date stamp, or the date the incoming correspondence was written (as available). The Watergate correspondence makes up the great majority of this series (44 of the 47 cu. ft.) and is described in more depth at the beginning of the Watergate correspondence listing.
