This series is divided into two subseries: invitation folders and an invitation card file. The invitation folders contain invitations to Baker and/or his staff and family along with replies, notes, memos, and other attachments relating to the event. There is one folder (1967) of invitations from Baker and one folder (1983) of invitations endorsed by Baker. The quantity and type of invitation file in this collection varies greatly from year to year; though there are some invitations from the 1960's and 1970's, 75 percent of the invitations are declined invitations from 1983.

The card file covers only 1973-1975 with only a few cards for 1975. The cards are hand completed forms containing the following information about each invitation Baker received: the dates, organization, extended by, place, status, final decision, and type of event.
