Dear Sister

I received your letter yesterday and those stamps and was glad to hear from you. I am well at present but my leg that is the same as ever we are at Anderson guarding the rail-road yet I do not know how long before we shall march there is a report here that we are going back to the Potomac army If so I shall go to the hospital again. Our Regiment has not got payed [sic] yet I do not know how long before we shall probably not get payed [sic] in two more months now we have fine weather here now it is so hot that a Soldier cannot find a moments ease So you can judge we do not suffre [sic] with the cold any I do not know of any more to write So I will close my letter for this time No more at present Write soon
