This collection houses meeting agendas and minutes, committee reports, budget documents, and academic program recommendations created by the University of Tennessee's Board of Trustees from 1993 to 1994. Committees significantly represented in these papers include the Executive Committee, the Health Affairs Committee, the Academic Committee, and the Finance Committee. This collection also contains five-year plans for various UT campuses and information on the appointment of William Rice as Chancellor of the Health Science Center.

Biographical/Historical Note
The University of Tennessee's Board of Trustees has served as the University's governing board since 1807. It includes representatives from several Tennessee districts, Tennessee's governor, the University of Tennessee's President, and several ex-officio members. Joseph Johnson was President of the University during this period.
