Abstract

Biographical/Historical Note

Albert Watt Hobt Sr. (1893-1963) was an athletics coach and professor of physical education at the University of Tennessee. He joined UT in 1921 and served as the head of the physical education department until his retirement in 1961. He married Nelle Bridges Mullineux (1895-1979) in 1918 and they had one child, Albert Watt Hobt Jr. (1919-1977).

Acquisition Note

The papers of Albert Watt Hobt were presented to the University of Tennessee Library by his widow, Mrs. Nelle Hobt, on May 14, 1964.
