Biographical/Historical Note

The Koran (also Quran or Qur’an) is the main religious text of Islam. The Koran is believed to be the word of Allah (God) as told to the prophet Muhammad (circa 570 CE-632 CE) by the angel Gabriel over a period of 23 years between 609 CE and Muhammed's death in 632 CE.
