Biographical/Historical Note
John Thomas Stewart was born on November 9, 1870 in Tennessee. He married Martha (Mattie) (b. 1875), and they had at least four children including Ara Mardell Stewart (b. 1896), Martha Stewart Long McDonald (1904-1980), and Mary Louise Stewart (1906-1968). John Stewart died by suicide on February 25, 1930.
