Biographical/Historical Note
Johannes Kreis was born on August 16, 1820 in Switzerland to Jakob and Dorothea (Wieig) Kreis. He married Anna Elizabeth Kaufmann. The family immigrated to Morgan County, Tennessee in 1846. Johannes Kreis died on January 24, 1892.
