The collection consists of one document, signed and sealed by former President William McKinley, to announce the appointment of Alexander Ragan as postmaster for Newport, Tennessee on February 15, 1898.

The collection contains the personal and professional papers of Henry G. Killgore, a Justice of the Peace in Cocke County, Tennessee. Included in these documents are legal papers and write-ups, account keepers and receipts, and personal letters to family and friends.

This collection consists primarily of land deeds for property near Wolf Creek in Cocke County, Tenn. The dates of the deeds range from September 8, 1817 to February 18, 1874. Also included are survey maps of the Wolf Creek area, deed parameters which dictate what the parts of the land were purchased, and a photocopy of a newspaper article detailing the historical significance of the property.
