The Newsmap Collection, 1944, consists of several weekly publications by the United States Army. These publications contain weekly news from the World War II front, maps of maneuvers, progress, setbacks, etc., as well as countless photos. The back of each Newsmap showcases a particular area of military life.

This collection houses a U. S. Army audit of the University of Tennessee's facilities conducted during World War II as well as the audit report and a workpaper.
W. E. (Bill) Warde Memoir
This collection contains W. E. (Bill) Warde's updated version of his memoir My Military Service which covers the time on the front lines in the European Theater (1944-1946). He recounts his experiences in various battles and gives details about the movements of his unit and what he describes as the "worst night of his life," when some of his fellow soldiers were captured and killed in Germany.
